These products have been proven in both clinical lab settings and in the field, in Hawaii, Texas, California, Florida, Caribbean, South Pacific and the Himalayas, that the SPF rating will remain constant for a minimum of 8 hours in and out of water (see 8 Hour Tests).
Field tests have indicated that if not soaped off, the product will protect for 2-3 days. This, from climbers to Himalayas, who were the only members in their respective parties to come home without skin damage, and from surf/dive expeditions lasting several days into the Caribbean and South Pacific. Unlike the usual run of drug store sunscreens, you do NOT need to reapply after swimming or perspiration unless you are very fair (blonde/blue-eyed, or red hair/green-eyed, or a skin cancer survivor, in which case we recommend application every 3 hours, and buy only SPF #44).
The product will not sweat into your eyes. The product will remain in place on the skin once applied and set (1-2 minutes) and will not "creep". Men will notice that the product rubs right in through body hair. Our formulations will not leave the pasty white and tacky feel many drug and cosmetics brands leave behind. Women will appreciate the new "matte" finish: leaves almost no perceptible feel, and make-up may be applied over all 3 SPF#'s. On that, even if you want a little "color" on your vacation outing, we recommend always wearing at least SPF #15-you will get plenty of color over the course of a few days in the sun and are much less likely to come home red, than if you wear the low#'s, accelerators, etc. made by other companies.
About 25% of the population has lips that burn and develop fever blisters. Our Lip products are the best in the business, and inexpensive to make.The lip products will protect you from both burning and sun-caused fever blisters, as well as salt water irritation and wind chap.
