Alfred James THOMAS married Mary TEAGUE in West Bromwich in 1911. Mary TEAGUE's father was George TEAGUE, a sweet maker. Tragically as a child Mary witnessed the death of her own mother, Ellen HALLSWORTH, by fire and this is said to have had a deep and lasting effect as she suffered from a nervous condition for the rest of her life and which eventually led to her early death.
