International Lighthouse & Lightship
Weekend
18th / 19th August 2001
The NERGs are planning
to set up an Amateur Radio Station
at the
Time Ball
at Point Gellibrand Park
in Williamstown, Victoria Australia.
To get there
(Melways map56:F-10), travel to Williamstown (just 10 minutes from
Melbourne over the Westgate bridge), follow Melbourne Road and left into
Ferguson Street, continue through the Williamstown Shopping centre, right
into Nelson Place (along the main waterfront) and continue past the huge
Tenix dockyard to Point Gellibrand Park at Battery Road. Stop before you
fall in the water. The Timeball tower is the tall square grey bluestone
structure.
