NERG IRLP Project:

Ok ... well its time I updated this section of my web page.

We now have IRLP running on 70 cm (Station 634/635) thanks to some RT85A radios we procured from The Royal District Nursing Service. Thanks go to Steve VK3TSW for notifying us of their availablity.

Harry - VK3BYY has fitted CTCSS encoding to the NERG repeater VK3RMH so that the node receiver does not rebroadcast the repeater morse code idents. Mark - VK3XXX is hosting the node at his place using his cable modem and the system is operational.

Greg - VK3VT has started a mailing list for the NERG IRLP project although it is not getting much traffic. Details can be found on the NERG web site: http://www.nerg.asn.au .

If you want to make a financial donation, send it to:

NERG IRLP Project, P.O.Box 270, Greensborough, Victoria, 3088, Australia

or you can write to me, VK3BIZ, via email.

We have raised some money for the IRLP hardware and software through a table at the NERG White Elephant sale and gratefully express our thanks to those who have made individual donations. I have donated an RT85A, Mark VK3XXX has donated a computer, internet connection, and powersupply. I believe John VK3ZRV donated a 70cm beam. Harry (Mark) VK3BYY has made a considerable contribution modifying RT85As for NERG members.

John.
