3: For me it all started at about week 36+4 on lower stomach where I had a hard patch of water retention, spread to around tummy button on stretch marks at around 38 weeks from then on spread to feet, upper under arms, back of knees, legs, upper stomach, sides, rest of arms, hands and some on back so far. 39 weeks today and booked for section in 2 days time at 39+2 on 3rd June.

Had a very bad night last night with the PUPPP or PEP as it’s known over here if you can get someone to admit that that’s what it is and not just ‘normal’ during pregnancy, why do doctors etc never want to listen to pregnant women?

Got neoclaritin antihistamine tablets from doc which did exactly 0 for me, have tried piriton, zytol and claritin at this stage and NOTHING helps it just gets worse and worse… I found an excellent web site however which gives some helpful hints but most of the products can’t be found here. http://members.optushome.com.au/westhoff/puppp/index.html

I found the following gives some relief…

Don’t over moisturise, it only makes it worse, it’s like chicken pox it needs to stay as dry as possible, my doc gave me steroid cream but I found that only made it worse too so I stopped using it straight away.

The aloe vera gel gives very short relief; I used a whole tube of the stuff yesterday in just one day!

I do the following, clean all the itchy areas with witch hazel liquid and let it dry, then spread witch hazel gel over the bad areas (Boots own brand is the best and really cheap) then I cover the whole area with Lanacane corn powder, not talc though I believe this can work too though not as effective (also available in Boots but a bit more expensive).

For my feet which for me are the worst of all (along with stomach) I keep the baby bath full of cold water and oatmeal in the bedroom and when I wake up in the night tearing lumps out of myself I go and sit with my feet in the bath for 20 mins and then put the powder on which is really cooling and buys me a few hours more sleep!

My sister got the itches at the beginning of her last pregnancy (2nd) and swore by telfast antihistamine tabs, not sure if she had the same thing though, also the American site talks about aerius or clarinex tabs being the bees knees, again not sure if they are available here… Will try doc again today (have been calling him every day for the past week for different prescriptions!) as am really worried about stay in hosp, at least at home I can do all the above and control it to a certain extent but in hosp they recommend using only calamine lotion!!!

Dandelion root tea/tablets and flax seeds/tablets are all thought to help too as they help with the liver and some links have been made to PEP and liver function. It’s also thought to affect people carrying twins or more or fast weight gain as also thought to be caused by skin stretching.

BTW, studies show that the ratio of babies born to women with this condition are 2:1 boys, so there’s something to think about and apparently it’s caused by the baby’s cells invading your skin so something else to hold over his/her head when he/she is born!! On a brighter note it should go away almost straight after the birth (esp. placenta) though I believe there is then a chance of getting another different type of itch caused by the epidural if you have one, which I will as am being sectioned! It also usually only affects women on their first pregnancy too. Oh well, I’m sure it’ll all be worth it in the end!

Hope some of the above helps for you, God, it’s really a terrible thing and I feel for you so much especially as I’m going through the same thing. I don’t think anyone else can really understand what it’s like… I just wish I could enjoy the last few days of being pregnant and get some sleep, as I’m sure I won’t be getting much for the next 30 years probably!! To give an update, I delivered my beautiful daughter on 3rd July by c section and I’m sorry to say the rash didn’t go away, my stomach got a lot better but it continued on my arms, thighs, legs and feet so bad that I know I’ll be scarred for life from some of the lumps. My consultant came around on the day after delivery and said again ‘oh it’s only the pregnancy rash’ and then I showed him the tissue I had used during the night after scratching covered in blood and puss, he put me on steroids immediately!

The rash continued however and had all the nurses and midwives baffled, they said it was due to my legs still being very swollen so I was also taking double doses of piriton twice3/4 times a day which was making me very sleepy….

3 weeks later and my legs are much better though only will power keeps me from tearing lumps out of myself sometimes still, the thing that really depresses me is that it’s come back on my stomach AND my legs seem to have flared up again too…

That on top of a very serious wound infection makes me just about want to kill myself. I’m also breast feeding but am seriously thinking of giving up as I think it may be related in some way, but after just 3 weeks I feel such a failure….

I’m so depressed about it. I have an appointment with a dermatologist soon and I wonder what they will tell me….

3: I'm writing on behalf of my daughter who developed PUPPS at 34 weeks and successfully cleared it up with 10-12 days of treatment recommended by those on this and othter sites.

Topically, she found oatmeal/cornstarch baths & then applying plain yogurt while skin still wet helped quite a bit. She was hesitant to try herbs/flax and at first went with her doctor's prescription of benedryl. Her PUPPPS continued to get worse, spreading rapidly to legs and arms and her baby became much less active due to the benedryl. She then stopped the benedryl and instead began taking daily: 2 capsules of dandelion root, one capsule of Acidophilus (another site felt this may be related to yeast problems and my daughter had been given antiobiotics earlier in her pregnancy for a bladder infection); and 2 capsules of flax oil.

Her tolerance for the itching was better within a day of the capsules, they stopped getting worse/spreading, and began to gradually clear up after about 4 or 5 days--completely gone in under two weeks! She delivered a perfect, very healthy, alert, full-term (40 1/2 weeks) daughter after only four hours of labor.

While researching treatments, I was especially impressed with the benefits of flax oil, which contains Omega 3s that, according to several respected studies, may help prevent Postpartum depression and increase cognitive ability in infants during pregancy and while nursing.

Hope anyone suffering from this miserable condition is able to use some of these ideas--best wishes and luck.

3: Hi everyone, I am so glad I found this website. I am in my 32 week of pregnancy and my rash started around 30 weeks. I thought it was my normal allergy that comes around July, but when I saw my stomach, I knew that this was no normal allergy. I went to my OB and he gave me methylprednisone. This did not work, but it looked like it made it worse. I went to the emergency room and the gave me prednisone. I has cleared up the welts, but my arms, legs, thighs, and stomach still have the red bumps on them. I am sleeping okay, but when I wake up the itching begins again. I am going to try to work for at least 4 more weeks (36 week mark) and see what my doctor says. I really wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, and I keep praying that I'll wake up and the irritation will stop.

3: I must say that this site kept me sane during the 3 weeks I had PUPPPS. I would log on at 1 a.m. when the itching became unbearable and read for solutions and hope. My pregnancy was plagued with night sickness the first 5 months, pre-eclampsia at month 7 and PUPPPS beginning in month 8. Fun, fun. Actually, my PUPPPS rash began July 4 on my stomach. Within about 2 days, it had spread to my legs and arms. My legs were actually purple and swollen. Between the scratching and bedrest from the pre-eclampsia, I was a less than happy camper. I did pretty much everything possible. I was taking Benadryl orally. I took dandelion root pills and tried to stomach down the flax seed oil. I would say that the rash did not worsen after I began the holistic medicines. However, the itch was still aweful. I took the Aveeno baths, slathered on Caladryl and followed with Gold Bond power before going to bed at night. The air conditioner was on high and I wore long sleeves--tight, silky on both my arms and legs. It seemed to help the itching for a while.

One of my friends came up with an ingenious anti-itch solution that sounds odd, but it would prevent me from itching for hours at a time--she suggested keeping my hands busy doing something else. With bedrest, my options were limited. She bought me yarn, crochet hooks and patterns. She then taught me some basic stitches and give me a self-teaching book. I know it sounds odd, but I was so determined to do this for her and do it well, that I would actually forget to itch for hours (mostly in the afternoon and late night/morning) because I was concentrating so hard on getting all the stitches right.

At my week 37 appointment, I was miserable. My OB let me know that unless my pre-eclampsia, which was under control, changed, we'd be going the full distance--August 8. I didn't know if I could go another 3 weeks in bed, itching and scratching.

Luckily, my water broke about 8 hours later. My little boy was born about 201/2 hours later. My rash was of great interest to many of the nurses who had never seen it before. It was still bright red and purple that night. Within about 1 week, and the use of some topical steroid creme the Dr. had prescribed that day, the rash began to dry up. It still itched, but today (2 1/2 weeks after delivery), I'm doing much better. I still itch at times, but Benadryl seems to alleviate the problem in the evenings when it's the worst.

I hope those of you out there reading this keep faith. It was aweful. I have been fortunate in that my case seems to have cleared up for the present. E-mail me if you're looking for support.

Oh, I almost forgot that I used ice packs constantly on the most itchy areas. That also helped to keep the itching at bay.

3: I developed Puppps about 10 days ago. Like nearly everyone else, it started on my abdomen, in my stretch marks. I thought it was just my stomach stretching a lil bit more and getting itchy and tried to moisturise with coco butter.

Then the itching became unbearable, and I would scratch and scratch and scratch, reducing myself to tears. This was worse in the nights, as I was on my own, and I had no distractions to take my mind off of it.

Last week the 'rash' had spread down my thighs and was making me feel like I was going crazy! I went to the GP who said some steroid cream should sort it out, but he didn't have a clue what it was, and seemed to find it quite interesting!. Unconvinced, I went home to try the hydracortizone cream. It didn't provide any relief, but I thought it may help in the long run.

That night I was hysterical! I was scratching all over, and could see new bumps appearing. I too had red spots and patches, which in places had merged together to create the plaque. By scratching, these red bumps went white, and looked just like I was covered in insect bites. I was bathing 3 times a day, but not getting any relief. I had looked up 'pregnancy rash' on the internet and found puppp which sounded just like what I had - there was some relief in just being able to give it a name.

I returned to my GP the following day who gave me puritin, but told me to only take it if I felt like jumping out of a window. Needless to say, I've been feeling like that since this started and I've been taking it regularly from the advice of my midwife (some Doctors are so infuriating!). My midwife had very little else to suggest, but has arranged for me to see a specialist this week (atleast I feel like she's taking the condition seriously).

>From finding this website, I've started taking the dandelion root

>extract 3x3 daily, and flaxseed oil 1x2daily. It's only day 3, and I'm

>strating to find the itching more bearable. I've also been covering

>myself in 1/2 calomine 1/2 benadryl and then cover with baby powder.

>This helps, but during the heatwave I find it can be irritating to have

>on for too long, but it offers some relief.

I see the specialist in 2 days, and by then I should know if there is any significant improvement from DR and FS. If so, I will say I just need something to help me sleep. If not, I will contemplate asking for steroid tablets and maybe even being induced (but know that the consultant may just say no). I'm 38 weeks today, and another 2 weeks (if not more) of itching will drive me crazy!

Puppp is horrible, as it diverts your attention away from the miracle that's happening inside of you, and drives you into a desperate, manic state. I was getting really excited about meeting my baby, and now I feel really low.

One thing I have found is that being on your own is not a good thing. The worst time is in the middle of the night when my husband is asleep, and I'm sure it's because I have no other distraction. During the day I try and spend time round my parents, just for the company. It's the time I spend alone that I go crazy. And now I've found this site, I feel relieved. Now atleast I have some hope in trying out new remedies, which I would never have found out about if it wasn't for this site.

Thank you everyone for posting your ideas. It's reassuring knowing that I'm not alone. And good luck!

Diane (1st baby, sex unknown)

3: I am 34 weeks pregnant and about 1 week ago i started getting violent strech marks on my stomach that were really itchy. I thought they looked quite scarey and the itchyness was driving me insane so we went to our hospital to ask them if everything was okay. The midwife on duty told us they were just "violent" strech marks and the "itchyness" happened to everyone during pregnancy. On Monday i was up all night trying to get comfortable and stop the itching. We tried everything - from sleeping on a chair sitting up right to watching tv at 2:00am to keep my mind off the itching. Nothing has worked. On Tuesday the rash had spread to my arms, legs and bottom. It was driving me insane. We spoke to my OB on Tuesday and he suggested we come in to have a CTG scan on the baby to make sure everything was okay. After the scan he diagnosed me with PUPPP. It was nice to know that they baby was fine and that having this condition wouldn't harm the baby but he told me that the only cure was to have the baby and at 34 weeks this isn't an option at this time. I don't know how i am going to put up with this for another 6 weeks but after finding this website it is nice to know that there are other women out there that expierience the same thing. My partner and i have tried everything. I find that lying down to sleep or even just to lie down on the couch makes it worse. Walking around or standing up helps but being pregnant and so big, standing up for long periods isn't really something that is easy to do. We tried vitamin E cream, sorborlene and wet cloths. The wet cloths help for a few moments at a time but not long enough to warrant screaming the tree tops about. My doctor prescribed an anti histamine tablet called "periactin". I am still worried about taking them as i do not want anything to happen to my baby. Periactin is a group A drug which means that lots of women have taken it during pregnancy with everything being okay. Pethadene - one of the drugs used during labour to help with the pain is a Group C drug so i gathered that with it being a group A drug it had to be okay. I was still worried so went to bed last night without taking a tablet. About 2 hours later i woke up with uncontrollable itching. I decided to take the tablet. I managed to sleep from 12 until 9, (with a few stops in between just to go to the toilet, but thats normal). It didn't stop the itching all together but it did reduce it that much that i was able to get around 9 hours sleep - a miricle. I am still itchy during the day - that hasn't stopped and i am being disiplined enough not to take the tablets during the day, only at night before bed, but i'm not sure how long i can do this for. Hopefully this has helped some and thanks for this website - it has made me feel like i am not alone

3: I too developed Puppp in my 32nd week. I have tried everything - Benedyl, prescription antihistamines, Aveeno oatmeal baths, calamine lotion, band aid anti itch cream, Gold Bond cream, aloe - nothing works.

I now have a prescription for 2% hydrocortisone which controls it quite well in the daytime. However, nightime is the worst. I got about 2 hours of sleep last night and I am trying to work full time. Actually it's not just the nightime that's bad - it's any time I lie down for a period of time (even just to nap for an hour).

I started on the flax seed and dandelion pills 2 days ago and have yet to notice a difference. I really hope this is the miracle cure as I have 6 more weeks to go and can't function on no sleep.

Thank you for this website - it's comforting to know that I am not just being a baby and that this is a real condition.

3: I have had this rash on and off since I found out I was pregant 6 times. My first 3 encounters with the doctor seems to be like everyone else's. He told me that it was a rash from something I ate, gave me benedryl, and told me I would just have to figure it out. The fourth time I got it we were out of town and I couldn't stand it anymore, so my husband took me to the emergency room. The ER doctor told me to take BENEDRYL 3X A DAY, AND 20 MG (2 pills each dosage) OF PEPCID 2X A DAY. He said that they were both in the antihistamine family, benedryl in family A and pepcid in family B. I took this (of course I was also using every topical lotion known to man) and within 4 days, it started going away. The fifth time it came back I didn't hesitate for a second and started the meds again on my own, and it stayed really small and went away in about 4 days. Well, I have it again (26 wks pregnant) and it is really bad now. This has been my first opportunity to talk to my midwife about this, and she immediately knew what it was. She told me that it was PUPPPS. Amen! Finally someone could tell me what was going on. And then she told me the wonderful news.... That there is no cure for it! She asked me what I had been doing for it, and I told her about the benedryl and pepcid. She said, "Pepcid?, I have never heard of that, but it makes sense." She said she was excited to have something new to recommend to her other suffering patients. And she also told me to look on the internet for support, and other helpful remedies.. When I looked up puppps on the internet, I was shocked to see so many others in my shoes. And all the helpful information. So today I'm off to the health food store to load up my cart with every helpful hint I've read. Wish me luck, I've still got 14 more weeks to go!

3: My PUPPS didn't strike until AFTER the birth of the baby. I went to a dermatologist and was informed that I am one of the 1-2% who this strikes after the birth of the baby. It started on my calves and slowly worked itself all the way up to my neck. It is the most painful rash that I have EVER had as far as itching and absolutely NO relief.

The dermatologist put me on prednizone for a month to be tapered off. 5 10mg pills (taken together in the morning) for 5 days, then 4 pills for 5 days and then 3 pills until gone. This isn't a cure, this is just to supress the rash and itchiness and he told me it would take about 3-4 weeks to go away!!!! AGH!!!!!! I wouldn't wish this virus on my worst enemy :-).

Take care,

Mandi

3: I just thought that I would re-visit one of my favorite sites. I developed puppps at about week 32, tried lots of topical remedies, and none worked for long. What did save me though was the dandelion and flaxseed. I began taking it and by day 3 or 4 began to see relief. I didn't even ask my doctor, he would have only said not to take it. I asked him about some herbs a midwife recomended at the beginning of my pregnancy to help prepare my cervix he said no. Guess what?! I had to have a c-section because my cervix wouldn't ripen!!! If your pregnancy isn't high risk- do the dandelion/flaxseed it works! And as long as you don't have any liver problems. If you want to be reassured that it won't hurt you, ask a midwife. Doctors don't know anything about puppps so they tell you to use cortesoine or will even give you a steroid. Now what kind of sense is that?!? Try it it works for most! 3 dandelion 3 times a day --- 1 flaxseed 2 times a day and lots and lots of water!! By the way I had a girl and didn't gain that much weight.

3: HI,

I am currently 19wks pregnant with my first child, my PEP or PUPPS started at 15 weeks. Like most people on here is started as itchy strech marks, which had some spots on it. It the spread to my inner thighs, making them look like I had scalded myself.

The GP was useless, told me he thought I had scabies!!! Only after alot of discussion with the dr and confiming it was only myself who was affected and not my husband did he agree that he had no idea what it was. Only to persribe Piriton, which he assured me would ease the intense itching immediatley......if only!

Two days later and after nearly two weeks without any sleep went back to the Doctors, saw another GP who diagnosed Piritus of pregnancy and persribed Eurax hydrocoritsone and calamine lotion. Went about searching on the net about Piritus of Pregnancy and came across PEP.

Still getting no relief from the itching and now resorting to keeping a hot water bottle filed with cold water and ice, wrapped in a cold damp sheet beside the bed. So that I could reach for it in the middle of the night for some relief!

Finally saw the midwife and obstetrician at the local maternity Unit, who were truley horrifed by the monstrosity of a rash on my body! They had no idea what it was until I showed them the info I had found on the net. I was referred to a Dermatologist within 48hrs who confirmed the diagnosis of PEP.

I was told that I was very unlucky to get this at such an early stage and they had no idea why I had developed it as no-one in either family had every come across it! Plus I had not put on any weight until 17wks so that was not the cause and I am only carring 1 baby! But on the brighter side they said that I may be lucky and it might burn itself out! which is the only reason why I can stay sane at the moment. Otherwise I have another 20wks of intense itching to look forward to!.

I have been perscribed a strong steriod cream (Elocon) and a mentholated cream for the intense itching......which is quite good as the smell takes your mind of your itch!

I have tried baths of dead sea salt, oatmeal, Aveeno (espcially sent to me by my sister in Canada!), bicarbonate, baby oil, aqueous cream. None of which seem to have any lasting effect. But I do find the baths relaxing though!

The Calamine lotion actually makes my rash worse by drying it out and making the skin itch more. As I have dry sensitive skin to begin with I found that using it exasabated the itch.

And the rash is on the move now on my outer calfs, lower forearmes and elbows!. Luckliy at the moment I am off work on the sick due to my lack of sleep, so I can rest a bit during the day. And now that winter is on it's way I might start to get some relief.

Will keep you up-dated as baby is not due to 3.02.04!

3: I am now 34 weeks pregnant and noticed the rash about a week and a half ago on my stretch marks on my stomach. I thought that the stretch marks were just getting so bad that they were more sensitive and that I was having an allergic reaction to my cocoa butter. It was so uncomfortable...just having my clothes touch my stomach was so unbearable and it itched so bad...I would stand in front of a fan and spray my stomach with water to cool it off. About four days ago it was still pretty sore on my stomach but then i noticed my arms starting to itch and the next day my thighs, butt, knees, behind my knees and wrists, and wasn't as bad on my stomach. The past two nights I haven't been able to sleep very well at all...the itching is so unbearable. I saw my ob/gyn yesterday and she said that it was PUPPPS and that there is nothing you can do for it but take benadryl and use anti-itch creams and take oatmeal or baking soda baths. I was taking the benadryl all day yesterday, but noticed I was getting so tired and I am afraid that it will still hurt my baby, plus I was slathering on the benadryl cream.

One of my friends who also had PUPPPS in her pregnancy said that her doctor recommended a lotion called Sarna, so I ordered that and will see if it works. Also...I find that when I can't sleep at night to use ice packs (or bags of frozen vegetables...this is what i did) and apply to the itchy spots helps me to go to sleep...the sound of the bag always moving kept my husband awake though!

I just went to a natural health foods/drugs store and bought flax oil capsules, dandelion root capsules and acidophilus and took them right away to avoid using the benadryl so hopefully those will help.

Doesn't it make you wonder why I/You are one of the "lucky" ones to get PUPPPS? It makes me so happy to hear that you usually don't get it in later pregnancies...praise God! Hopefully these natural remedies will help make it better b/c I don't know if I can go another 6 weeks itching like this! Good luck everyone!

3: I feel so terrible for all the women who have experienced this awful rash early in pregnancy. As a matter of fact, I feel that way for anyone who has had to endure this mentally challenging rash! Mine didn't start until 38 weeks. I had a Dr. appt. on a Friday at the early stages and she didn't think it was the Pregnancy Rash. She did tell me to take Benadryl and prescribed me a hydrocortisone creme. Well, by the next day, it was full blown and I was itchy everywhere! It started on my stomach, but soon moved to my legs, arms, feet, butt and even parts of my back. I have had rashes in the past, but this was by far the worst I've ever experienced. My husband, who has been awesome during this whole thing, was on the internet first thing on Sat. morning looking to see what this could be and how I could get some sort of relief. That's where we came across this website. He went out and bought Calaryl, Mytoconozole, and Sarna. Of the three, the Sarna worked the best for me. I could buy about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs of relief at a time.

I contacted the Dr. again the following week to see if they could induce me since I was so close to my due date anyway. At this time, I was diagnosed with PUPPP. Unfortunately, I was not at a point where they felt inducing would do any good. My little one (sex unknown) must pretty comfortable in there as I'm now a day past my due date (edd 9/15/03). However, at the time,I asked about any other options and was told that there really wasn't anything that can be done. I also asked about the Dandelion Root and Flaxseed Oil. The Dr. told me it was perfectly fine to try it and to be sure to report back if I found any relief.

I started drinking 4 cups of DR tea/day a week ago. I also was taking 1 TBSP. of Flaxseed Oil/day. I don't know if this works for everyone, but within a few days, the rash was getting slightly better and the itching was more bearable. (No more mental breakdowns!) Now, after a full week of religiously sticking with these two remedies, I am almost completely rash free and the itching is very minimal. I was using Sarna up until 2 days ago to help with the itching. Now it just feels like I have a few bug bites and if itched, they tend to stop for quite awhile. I'm actually at the point where I think my itching is related more to dry skin than the rash. I have another appt. with the Dr. today and am anxious to share what I consider a miracle cure. I felt cheated that the end of my pregnancy would be focused on trying to stay sane and wishing every day that this baby would be out rather than anticipating this wonderful miracle of birth. I feel very fortunate to, once again, be as comfortable as can be expected when one has passed their due date :)

Please try the DR and Flaxseed oil. I went to the healthfood store and they were extremely helpful. I wish all of you suffering with this horrible rash, the best of luck in fighinting it.

Kim

3: My battle with Puppp started many years ago after (very rare) I had my daughter. I was scheduled to be released from the hospital on a Monday. I noticed Sunday night that I had a horrible rash on the inside of my upper thighs. I passed this off as a case of nerves. I thought I was just nervous about bringing my first born child home. I never mentioned it to any of my doctors and it went away after 6-8 weeks. Five years later, I became pregnant with my (now 14 year old) son. About 22 weeks into the pregnancy, I noticed that I had a rash around my navel. Again, I passed it off as a case of nervousness due to the pending birth of my second child. As the weeks progressed, so did the Puppp. I went to see my OB and he immeadiately identified it as Puppp. He gave me huge amounts of literature on this condition and assured me that it would go away as soon as the baby was born. He also informed me that my life would be miserable until then. I was horrified and scared of the massive whelts that popped up all over me. My stomach looked like 1000 wasps had stung it. It felt that way too. The rash covered most of my body during the duration of my pregnancy. My hands and feet were the worst though. They even blistered and oozed! I spent most nights soaking them in ice (literally) water. It seemed to be the only way I could calm down enough to eat or sleep. I must say, life was pure hell during those LONG months. I spent most days hold up in the house with the air conditioner on high, freezing the rest of the family. I found that the cooler I stayed, the less I itched. I did a lot of crying and I felt cheated that I couldn't enjoy carrying this miracle inside me. I bought every anti-itch product known to mankind. Garbage! What a waste! My advise to any of you out there suffering from this horrible condition is to stay as cool as possible, try and keep your mind occupied, and seek out a friend who will talk/listen to you any time you need them. This Puppp caused me to never want to be pregnant

again, thus, my husband had a vasectomy during my eighth month. I would not wish this on a dog! I will pray for all of you out there who are plagued with this condition. Hang in there! You will get some relief soon!

3: Thank you for this website. It lets me know I am not the only one out there with this awFULL rash. I got PUPPPs my 38th week, (which i suppose it is a blessing after reading some of the postings) It started on my belly & has spread basically everywhere except my face-even the bottom of my feet & the palms of my hands!

I was in the bath tub tonight scratching & crying at the same time. We called my doctor, who called in a prednisolone pack. We'll see what that does or does not do. Am definitely trying the dandelion root & flax oil.

I have had such a delightful pregnancy & I hate it is ending this way b/c we are so excited about the baby, but I am in a miserable, wretched, itchy mood.
