FRAME
There are many photos mounted in frames
each holds a story, more than just the names,
T`was through them I have learnt how to unfold
stories of lives, in confidence were told,
Some were shattered, others were on the mend
some just saw the need of having a friend
hearing all their troubles and of their fate
could we reach out, would our words be too late,
to listen to feel with all of our heart
a great beginning, to a real good start
So as I stare at the photo in front of me
I feel the story and the memory
I remember when it was taken and the fun we had
life is not easy, but it is not always bad

Yesterday I was feeling lonely
someone in need of a friend,
you gave me your shoulder to cry on
you listened and didn't pretend
You helped me with my decisions
I was unable to tackle alone,
you heard my qualms and doubts
you made me feel at home
I felt comfortable beside you
I really wanted to stay,
you had become important to me
you knew me in every way
Your honesty is so full filling
your integratory without a flaw,
you opened up your heart

FEELINGS
When I woke up in the morning
the first thing that I saw,
was a vision through the window
reflecting on my door
It gave a feeling of freedom
a new life within,
a hope for a new start
and a way to begin
With a blaze of green lights
no amber or red,
showing a clear passage
to a stairway ahead
There's nothing to stop me
all friends and no foe,
a way to the future
with only one way to go

FIRST DAY
Remembering back
to the first day we met,
I had been for a swim
I was still very wet
You offered me your towel
to help me get dry,
I took it gladly
without wondering why
You sat down beside me
we began to talk,
then you suggested
we go for a walk
Now a long time has passed
as with many many mile,
the day has finally come
when we walk down the aisle

The grass feels soft
beneath my feet,
the sun blazes down
a souring heat
The lake beyond
has caught my sight,
alone I head
to end my plight
Gazing at the water edge
only my feet are bare,
feeling the welcome breeze
flow through my hair
The chill of the water
invites me in,
my clothes become wet
against my skin
As I wade in deeper
I feel so free,
I feel I have found
the real me
Looking down
to the waters clear,
as the level rises
I feel no fear
Hugging myself tight
feeling alone no more,
I've found where I belong
for I've been here before

It makes me feel special
in more than one way
I can hold my head high
and believe when I say
These are my friends
who will be there for me
I only need to ask
I am sure they'll agree
It's not always possible
to do things alone
you just need to call
or ring on the phone
If you tell them your troubles
I am sure you will see
if they have the time
for you it will be free

FEAR
These four walls that surround me
have no doors and have no key,
my heart is aching my soul in pain
with fear we may never meet again
I feel so empty my throat is dry
there are no tears but I want to cry,
as I close my eyes, all I see
is a vision of you next to me
There is no cheer in my voice
nor a smile in my heart,
not knowing how long I'm away
Or for how long we're apart

FALLING TEARS
The tears are falling
like a shower of rain,
there is nothing there
to ease the pain
My heart is locked
I've thrown away the key,
what is left in life
I feel, nothing for me
I sought out for a mountain
expecting to find gold,
I believed in everything
that I was told
But it taught me a lesson
something I never had,
that when you take the good
you have to still work on the bad

My mother is my need
my dad is my guide,
my brother is my helper
my sister I confide
These are my family
who I cannot do without,
but to have a true friend
is what it's all about
your family is given
but you have no choice,
your friends are made
for you have the voice
one thing we must remember
whether family or friend,
they will be there for you
right to the end

Awake at night I lie I think
could this really be,
the chance to get away
the chance to be free,
For only a short while
would be all I would need,
to absorb its beauty
without any greed,
No suffocating crowd
or pressures of a city,
just freedom of the outback
In a world that's so pretty
FRIEND OR FOE
Some of us need to give
others need to share,
just to help a friend
can show how much you care
But when one finds a reason
to judge others they don't know,
it's a sign they are very lonely
with no other place to go
Open up your heart
become a friend and share,
listen to the words of others
those words that show you care
To them your opinion counts
so share something of yourself,
don't ever feel your the one
who is left alone upon the shelf
We are all here for each other
across many oceans and mountains of land,
we can form a special friendship
or just lend a helping hand

It was in a moment of loneliness
a new friendship was born
of two people miles apart,
It slowly moved as time passed on
they opened up their heart,
They shared their secrets,
innermost thoughts and desire,
their world became their song
their love became their choir
they may never meet or touch
with only a photo in a frame
but they know each other more now
they are more than just a name
